Senior Food and Beverage Manager

The Senior and Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and elevating the guest experience across In-Room Dining, Pool Operations, and Dottie’s at Southall Farm & Inn. This role drives operational excellence, Forbes-level service standards, and financial performance while cultivating a culture rooted in hospitality, storytelling, and intentional service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and staff across In-Room Dining, Pool, and Dottie’s
- Drive Forbes Travel Guide standards through personalized, anticipatory service
- Maintain strong communication between kitchen, service teams, and leadership
- Ensure excellence in food, beverage, and presentation standards across all environments
- Uphold all service standards, cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Lead daily operations, ensuring seamless service, brand consistency, and exceptional guest experience
- Manage and develop the team through hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and accountability
- Partner with the Beverage Manager on cocktail execution, menu rollouts, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, safety standards, and Southall Operating Criteria
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and nightly reporting
- Collaborate with Events, Sales, and F&B leadership on VIP experiences and private bookings
- Monitor labor, control costs, and support financial goals while maintaining service excellence
- Create and maintain schedules as well as payroll for staffing
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership
Our Top Candidate
Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience, preferably in luxury or Forbes-rated environments
- Proven success leading daily operations in a high-touch hospitality setting with an emphasis on guest experience and service consistency
- Experience overseeing multiple outlets with varied service styles (casual, upscale, in-room dining, bar program)
- Strong background in beverage operations, including cocktail execution, menu rollouts, inventory control, and cost management
- Demonstrated ability to hire, train, coach, and develop hospitality teams, fostering accountability, professionalism, and service excellence
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Beverage, Events, Sales, and broader F&B leadership teams
- Solid understanding of alcohol service laws, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience managing labor, scheduling, payroll, and nightly reporting
- Track record of maintaining polished, brand-aligned environments that support elevated and memorable guest experiences
- Comfortable managing VIP guests, private bookings, and exclusive service moments with discretion and confidence
Experience & Education
- 4-year college degree preferred, but combination of education and relevant position training and experience will be considered
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs
- Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
- Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions
