The Joyland Cashier provides fast, friendly, and accurate guest service while managing order entry, payment processing, and front-of-house organization. This role supports a smooth guest experience by maintaining efficient order flow, clear communication with the kitchen, and an organized cashier station. The cashier delivers Joyland’s energetic hospitality style while upholding Southall’s high standards for guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them through menu choices
  • Maintain a friendly, energetic tone during service
  • Ensure guests feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit
  • Accurately take guest orders and confirm modifications
  • Process payments quickly and correctly through the POS system
  • Provide digital receipts and retain printed receipts for sales records
  • Communicate order details clearly to the kitchen
  • Direct guests to pickup and help maintain smooth service flow
  • Support efficient pacing during high-volume periods
  • Prepare and maintain the cashier station before, during, and after service
  • Stock packaging, napkins, sauces, and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Resolve minor service issues quickly and professionally
  • Escalate concerns or compensation requests when needed
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership

Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Outdoor, high-volume service environment experience required
  • Basic POS or cash-handling experience preferred
  • Hospitality or food service experience preferred

Education & Experience

  • High diploma
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
