Social Sales Manager

Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Social Sales Manager (SSM) will oversee small scale social group bookings, focusing on sales, reservations, and event coordination. Responsibilities include managing non-contracted small group bookings (10 rooms or less) and social events (150 people or less), coordinating dining, spa, and activity requests with internal teams, and supporting VIP experiences and site tours. The role will also maintain the function book diary between sales and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead to delivery: Sell and service process for assigned social groups that do not fall within group contracting needs.
  • Qualify and respond to social group inquiries received through the Sales Lead Coordinator, focusing on social group bookings and event planning. Route accordingly if lead falls within 120 days to ESM role.
  • Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Restaurant Event Orders (REOs) for assigned social groups that the SSM is directly booking in private dining spaces as needed.
  • Create spa reservations for assigned social groups being booked and coordinated by SSM.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Program Manager to organize group activity requests for assigned social groups.
  • Create large party and VIP dining reservations in OpenTable for assigned social groups being booked and coordinated by SSM.
  • Work with Reservations Manager to check availability and secure sleeping rooms for assigned social groups needing fewer than 10 room nights on peak.
  • Support the Sales team by assisting with site tours and pre-planning visits for prospective clients.
  • Assist Sales team with amenity requests for overnight VIP clients.
  • Manage the function book diary and act as a liaison for the sales and event teams to coordinate space usage and blocks.
  • Attend weekly sales and events meetings, BEO, 10-day ops, etc.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Hotel/Hospitality experience preferred
  • Must be:
    • An affable and supportive team player.
    • Motivated by true hospitality.
    • A strong writer with good verbal communication skills.
    • A creative with an eye for detail.
    • A problem-solver.
    • An excellent organizer with time-management skills.
    • Dependable and punctual.
    • Willing to work a flexible schedule should days run long, or weekend needs arise.
    • Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
