The Spa at Southall is restorative and replenishing, a journey unto itself rooted in the healing properties of the earth. It’s a nourishing, calming experience, with a host of ancient techniques and modern therapies that draw upon the botanicals and other natural ingredients inspired by, and derived from, our farm. The spa features eight individual treatment rooms, two suites, and indulgent amenities that include a steam room, sauna, and relaxation lounge—as well as an outdoor mineral pool overlooking Lake Mishkin and a medicinal herb garden, offering respite and adding to the deep sense of connection. Healthy options, such as salads, smoothies, and fresh juices, are also available and can be enjoyed post-treatment beside Luca’s Garden, surrounded by fragrant herbs and blooms.

The Spa Receptionist at Southall is a spa support role that compliments the concierge and attendant teams. As the face of the spa welcoming our guests, you will have a unique opportunity to create a genuine connection with the guest, deliver personalized service, and ensure a seamless and relaxing experience for all spa visitors. This role also includes preparing the spa spaces for the day, organizing appointment notes and guest information, preparing amenities and special touches, acting as the host/hostess of the spa, and ensuring that the spa environment is consistently personalized, tranquil, and seamless.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Relations: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, ensure they are comfortable and informed about their upcoming treatments, and provide spa facility tours as needed. Thoughtfully prepare amenities and special touches as needed.
  • Service Promotion: Offer detailed information about spa services, treatments, and packages. Assist guests in selecting services that best meet their needs and preferences.
  • Retail Sales: Assist guests with purchasing spa products, provide recommendations based on their individual needs, and process transactions accurately.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage the daily opening procedures for the spa and maintain guest records.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure that the reception area, waiting lounge, and retail spaces are kept clean, organized, and well organized.
  • Communication: Coordinate with therapists, concierge, attendants, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any guest issues or concerns promptly.
  • Service Excellence: Address any guest concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism, aiming to exceed guest expectations and enhance their spa experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a luxury spa or wellness environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Elegant verbal and written communication style.
  • Proficiency in using booking systems and office software.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with a genuine passion for wellness and hospitality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of our guests.

Skills and Experience:

  • Must be detail-oriented and have ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening and reporting skills.
  • The ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure, focus and a positive attitude.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Service experience required.
  • Luxury, hospitality, spa or wellness experience preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Additional certifications in hospitality or wellness services are a plus.
